Where My Heart Will Always Be.
The Northeast Margaree rises on the plateau of the rugged Cape Breton Highlands, while the Southwest Margaree slips and slides out of Lake Ainslie, the largest natural lake in Nova Scotia. The two branches tumble over rapids and waterfalls, through deep salmon pools and still marshes, and rich forested floodplains, merging at Margaree Forks and continuing on to the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
